Overview:

This is a great 3 days tour from Marrakech to Fes desert tour, it’s a chance to try and do the camel trek and overnight camping in the deep desert (At standard/ Luxury camp), visit Todra & Dades gorge, Rose Valley, Ouarzazate, World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou & Azrou.

On the first day, we’ll see and cross the High Atlas mountains through the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, the highest pass in Morocco. On the second day of our Marrakech to Fes desert tour, we are going to pass through the Todra and Dades Gorge.

We’ll arrive in the Merzouga Sahara in the late afternoon and from here we are going to be taken by a camel guide across the sand dunes to a Bedouin camp. you will spend the overnight in the Merzouga desert, experiencing the silence of the Sahara. On the third day, we are going to continue our thanks to Fes (Fez) via Midelt and Azrou cedar forest.

Itinerary

1st Day : Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate – Dadés Valley

After breakfast, we will depart to Boulmane Dades. During this day of the Marrakech desert tour, we will visit some incredible sites after driving via the wonderful High Atlas Mountains and the scenery Tizi N’Tichka Pass. Today’s program includes visiting Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO Heritage Site) which has been a backdrop for Hollywood movies such as Gladiator, The Mummy, and the TV show Game of Thrones.

Following lunch in the Ait Ben Haddou village, we will visit Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) and the amazing Kasbah Taourirt. Then, we continue to Boulmane Dades by visiting The Valley of Roses on the way and traveling via Skoura’s palm groves. Overnight and dinner at a hotel in Dades Valley.

2nd Day : Dadés Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga – Camel Trek and overnight in Berber camp

Our journey begins with admiring the beautiful landscapes and views of Dades Valley overlooking the ancient Kasbahs and the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Then, we continue driving to Tinghir. Afterwards, we head to visit Todra Gorges where you will enjoy walking through the high and narrow cliffs. It is one of the destinations that rock-climbers prefer. After having lunch in Todra, we will drive to Merzouga. Then, we will reach Merzouga desert and have a Moroccan mint tea.

You will start your experience to Erg Chebbi sand dunes ridding camels. After a nice camel trek in the golden sand dunes, we will reach the camp. It is also an unmissed opportunity to watch the sunset in the desert over the high sand dunes. Overnight and dinner will be at a Berber tent.

3rd Day : Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Cedar forests and monkey troupes of Azrou – Fes

In the morning, we will wake you up to watch the lovely view of the sunrise over the sand dunes and take some beautiful pictures. Then, we ride camels going back to Merzouga. After having breakfast and refresh up, we depart to Fes. On the way, we will stop to enjoy the amazing Ziz Valley and the palm groves. After admiring a fascinating view of the valley, we continue our journey until we stop in Midelt for having lunch.

Then, the way to our destination goes through the Middle Atlas Mountains and Cedar Forest woodland where monkeys live. Before arriving Fes, we will visit the lovely town of Ifrane. Reaching the destination will be around 6 pm. Our Marrakech desert tour ends when we drop you off at your hotel.
