Itinerary

DAY 1 : CASABLANCA – CHEFCHAOUEN

The first day of the Grand Tour Of Morocco 14 Days Tours From Casablanca will begin by visiting the largest Mosque in Africa, the Hassan ll. The Hassan ll Mosque took 7 laborious years to build. The Mosque can hold up to 25,000 for prayer inside, and 80,000 on the Mosque’s grounds outside. After touring The Hassan ll Mosque you will begin your drive to the city of Chefchaouen (The blue City), passing through Rabat, the Capitol City of Morocco. The day’s journey will end in the beautiful city of Chefchaouen. Rest of the evening in your Riad or Hotel. Distance: 334 km (207.538 miles)

The very first day of this tour will be dedicated to visit Hassan Mosque, which the 3rd largest mosque in the world, and driving toward Chefchouen through Rabat (the capital of Morocco and one of the four Imperial cities) . Overnight at a Riad/hotel in Chefchouen.

DAY 2 : EXPLORING CHEFCHAOUEN

Exploring Cefchouen is our plan for today. The Blue City is one of the loveliest cities that you could ever visit. It offers an amazing view surrounded by Rif Mountains. The Spanish architectural style is dominant in this small city. We will guide you to visit the Medina and walk through its blue amazing streets and along its amazing crafts stores. The overnight will be at the hotel.

DAY 3 : CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FES

On this day of the tour from Casablanca, we will drive towards Fes city. On the way, we travel via the amazing Rif Mountains and into The Atlas Mountains. We will make a stop to visit Volubilis which is the most famous Roman Empire ruins in Morocco. Then, we visit Meknes city. It is one of the four Imperial cities. After visiting some cultural sites, we head to Fes. Overnight at a hotel.

DAY 4 : EXPLORING FES

Today on the grand tour of Morocco from Casablanca, you will be guided to explore the historical Fes which is the first founded Imperial city in Morocco. It mainly goes back to 9th century. Fes has been the intellectual and spiritual center of Morocco that holds a rich and interesting culture and history.

Our explorative day begins with heading to visit Fes El Bali which is one of the UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. The journey includes also visiting sites such as Al_Qarawiyyin Mosque/University. It is the first established university in the world according to some scholars and UNESCO. Then, we continue to other places that the city offers including the Chaouara Tanneries, Mellah Quarter, Souks, Maderasa Bouaanania and Bab Boujloud.

DAY 5 : FES – IFRANE – CEDAR FOREST – MIDELT

Today on the grand tour of Morocco, we will begin with a drive to Merzouga. You will pass through the city of Ifrane, which is considered the coldest place in Morocco. Ifrane is also known as the Switzerland of Morocco because of the housing architecture and snowfall. Continue your journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains to the Cedar forest in the city of Azrou, which is 3940 feet in elevation. Here you will have the opportunity to feed the endangered Barbary (Macaque) Monkeys. From here you will drive to the city of Midelt to your Hotel for the evening.

DAY 6 : MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – ERFOUD

Our full journey towards Erfoud begins after you have breakfast. We will drive to our destination through the amazing Middle Atlas Mountains until we reach the fascinating Ziz Valley and Palm Groves. Then, we continue our journey to Erfoud. This small town is known for the fossils production and the Festival of Dates that lasts for 4 days in October. Overnight at a hotel in Erfoud.

DAY 7 : ERFOUD – RISSANI – MERZOUGA (CAMEL TREK & STAY IN A LUXURY CAMP)

You will have breakfast, then we drive towards Rissani where you will visit the famous Souk (traditional market) which is help three times a week. Then, the day continues to Khamlia village where you discover the Saharan lifestyle and listen to the interesting music style Gnawa. In this ancient village, you will have Berber Pizza for lunch before heading back to Merzouga.

After a short rest at the hotel, you will experience a wonderful trek towards Erg Chebbi Sand dunes. After about one-hour riding camels, we will arrive our destination. The overnight will be at a Berber camp where all means of a convenient stay are provided (beds, pillows, blankets…). Before going to bed, you will enjoy your time trying Moroccan food and listening to Berber music and drums around the campfire.

DAY 8 : MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGES – BOUMALNE DADES

After you wake up, you will enjoy the amazing view of sunset over the high dunes of Erg Chebbi. Then, we head back to the hotel where you will have your breakfast and refresh up. Proceeding with our journey, we drive towards the amazing Todra Gorges (the highest and the narrowest in Morocco). After enjoying a visit to Todra, we hit the road to Boulmane Dades through Tinghir. Overnight at a hotel in Dades.

DAY 9 : BOUMALNE DADES – DADES GORGES – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE

After we leave Boulmane Dades, we drive to visit the famous Valley of Roses where the Festival of Roses is held every year in May. Afterwards, we continue to Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) via the amazing Skoura oasis.

Ouarzazate is known as an attraction for film makers around the world. Many Hollywood movies were filmed like Gladiator, Prince of Persia and also TV series such as Game of Thrones and Prison Break Season 5.  Overnight in Ouarzazate

DAY 10 : OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH

Today on the Grand tour of Morocco, will visit some wonderful sites before making our way to Marrakesh via the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi N’Tichka Pass. First, you will the interesting Cinema Studios in Ouarzazate and the fascinating Kasbah of Taourirt. Then, we head to Kasbah Of Ait Ben Haddou which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. We will arrive at Marrakech in the early evening after a long drive.

DAY 11 : EXPLORING MARRAKECH

Marrakech is one of the four Imperial cities in Morocco. Today, you will explore the sites and attractions that this city offers. You will be accompanied by our professional guide. The program includes visiting Kotoubia Mosque, the lovely Bahia Palace, the historical Saadian Tombs, Maderasa Moulay Ben Youssef, Jamaa El Fnaa Square and the cultural Souks of the Medina. Overnight at a hotel/riad.

DAY 12 : DAY TRIP TO OURIKA VALLEY / RETURN TO MARRAKECH

The 12th day of this tour will be deducted to visit Ourika Valley which gives an opportunity to escape the hustle of Marrakech city for a short while. On the way, you will travel through the amazing Atlas Mountains and other Berber villages where you may want to stop by and explore.

The road offers wonderful views to enjoy while traveling. Then, you will have a chance to visit the village Setti Fatma where to see the serenity of waterfalls. After an amazing journey to the marvelous Ourika valley, we drive back to Marrakech.

DAY 13 : DAY TRIP TO ESSAOUIRA / RETURN TO MARRAKECH

On the Grand tour of Morocco Today, we leave Marrakech to explore Essaouira city. It is city that is located on the Atlantic Ocean.
